Hello, I'm Laura Kirkman, the lady behind Free Flow Therapies.
Here's a little introduction about me:
My massage journey began while studying Beauty Therapy at college after leaving school. I then started my first role in a Thai Massage salon, where I spent six years developing my skills, experience, and understanding of massage. This experience taught me the value of adapting each treatment to the individual, focusing on their overall wellbeing rather than following a set routine.
During my time at the salon, I completed a Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage, giving me the skills to work more deeply with specific areas of tension and discomfort when needed.
I later became a Self-Employed Therapist at Acorn Natural Health Centre, where I built a loyal client base over several years before stopping practice around the time of Covid. Following this I spent several years working in Mental Health as a Peer Support Worker, where my experience during this role has further strengthened my belief in creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment where people can simply be themselves.
My passion has always been helping people feel more comfortable, both in their bodies and within themselves. Through my background in massage and supportive one-to-one roles, I've seen how closely our physical and emotional wellbeing are connected.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every session begins with a conversation about what your body needs on that day. Together, we'll focus on the areas that need the most attention, helping you leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to your body.
