Hypnotherapy Package

Hypnotherapy

Sally Race, our Clinical Hypnotherapist, specialises in anxiety and anxiety related conditions (panic attacks, phobias, abuse etc.).

What can Hypnotherapy help with?

Hypnotherapy can help with issues such as; weight loss, stopping smoking, panic attacks, phobias, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), over worrying, public speaking and low mood. Hypnosis is also great at helping to improve the skills you already have, sports performance, exam skills, confidence & self esteem to name but a few.

What is Hypnotherapy and how does it work?

Contrary to what many people believe, you do not go to sleep when in a state of hypnosis, you are simply relaxed, but awake. Often reaching a wonderfully deep level of relaxation, the conscious mind is then taking a 'back seat' and the subconscious mind (the part that controls all our emotions, beliefs and values), is open to positive change.

The first session always consists of goal setting, so both you and I are clear about what you want. No one can make you change anything you don't want to, you are fully in control at all times, you'll be guided to make the changes that you want to make.

A free of charge 20 minute consultation is always undertaken prior to any further appointment, (with the exception of the stop smoking & past life regression sessions) this is so you can find out if hypnotherapy feels right for you. There is never any obligation to book an appointment for hypnotherapy afterwards, it has to feel right for you.

£80 per session approx 50 minutes

5x 50min Hypnotherapy- £350 (saving £50 off the regular price)

Clinical Hypnotherapist

NLP Practitioner

Hello, I'm Sally Race. I'm a qualified Hypnotherapist (I have a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy) and an Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy.

I am passionate about helping people achieve change for the better, whatever that may mean for them. It makes me feel good to help (and see) people make a difference to their lives.

I worked for many years in the NHS as a senior Occupational Therapist where for some time I taught stress management groups (within the cardiac rehab team) and saw people on a one to one basis for anxiety problems, such as 'over worrying' and panic attacks etc. I have taught Derby university students in rehabilitation skills (including; cognition, perception & neuroplasticity)  for several years, lectured at Derby college, and run workshops for NHS & private therapists in motivational interviewing.

I have been in private practice since 2005 working with people with a variety of conditions and goals, using standard therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and Hypnotherapy.

I'm a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)  who only register fully qualified and insured therapists.

Some may refer to me as a bit of a geek as I love reading the latest research on all things anxiety, weight loss, IBS related. I also love to learn with others, so attending courses is also an important way of keeping myself up to date. When I find new and interesting articles I often post them for all to see on my social media feeds (feel free to like and/ or follow) And sometimes I like to write about a topic myself.

When considering hypnotherapy (or other techniques) it is important to feel confident in the therapist you chose to work with and also know enough about what the therapy involves to enable you to make an informed decision. That is why I offer a free initial consultation. It lasts about twenty minutes, and we can establish what you want and how Hypnotherapy can help you. This is where you can take the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. If I am unable to help, I will let you know and usually I can point you in the direction of someone who can (I have a wealth of healthcare connections both NHS and private).
