Terms and conditions of use

Booking the studio

On booking the studio a £12 non refundable deposit is required to hold the room for the specified date, this will be deducted from the total for the booking, which is payable one week before the reserved date.

For on-going regular weekly/monthly bookings, the deposit will be required for the first booking only. Once the deposit is received, if you wish your event to be promoted, if appropriate, it will be published on the website and social media (we aim to do this within 7 working days of receipt, but please allow up to two weeks during busy periods).

Invoices

Invoices for ongoing bookings are sent at the end/begining of the month and are payable within 7 working days of receipt. 

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a booking, as long as you provide a full weeks notice (7 days), no further payment is required. For long term discounted (£10 per hour) bookings, the initial 3 months must have expired and cancellation would mark the end of the discounted contract. The Discounted price remains while ever the booking is uninterrupted (weekly).   

Arrival and departure

The studio will be made available to you 15 minutes prior to the start time of your booking and 15 minutes after each booking for preparation & packing up at no extra charge.

Fire, safety and security

The fire exit is the main stair way & the fire assembly point is outside the town hall next to the pedestrian crossing.

Please be aware that the use of candles is at your own risk and should the smoke from a candle (often at its maximum when snuffed out) could set off the fire alarm, there is a call out charge from the fire company to reset the alarm which is the responsibility of yourself, if caused by such things as candles or other lighted materials.

Security regulations for the use of the studio must be observed. 

Miscellaneous

The studio or any part of it must not be used for the following nor permit anyone else to so do activities which are dangerous, offensive, noxious, noisome, illegal or immoral, or which are or may become a nuisance to the Owners or to the occupier of any neighbouring property or consulting room.

1. Not to damage the Property or the decorations, furnishing or furniture of the studio (except by fair wear or tear).
2. You must hold public liability insurance for the class/workshop/therapy that you are undertaking within Acorn and provide a copy on booking.
3. Not to display any Notice or Advertisement either on the outside of the Property or visible from outside it.
4. To take full responsibility for the Clients/Patients/attendees of your class/group/workshop whilst in the property and any claims made agains yourself. Clients/patients/attendees must not be left in the property without yourself being present or prior arrangement for a member of Acorn staff to be present due to fire regulations and health, safety & security.
5. To keep the studio in an ordered state.
6. To be responsible for any personal property or equipment brought onto the Property.
