Nutritional Therapy uses food, supplements, and lifestyle support to help identify and address underlying imbalances that may be affecting your health.
The aim is to understand what your body needs in order to function at its best, then create a realistic plan to support better energy, digestion, and overall wellbeing.
Some people seek nutritional therapy when they feel their health is slightly out of balance and want support getting back on track. Others come after a long period of ongoing symptoms and frustration, looking for clearer answers.
Nutritional therapy can also work alongside conventional medical care, and is often used in collaboration with GPs or other healthcare professionals, as well as alongside other complementary therapies.
This one-off service is designed for people who want practical nutritional guidance without committing to a full programme.
It is ideal if you:
• want to improve your diet but are not ready for a full package
• feel generally well but know there is room for improvement
• feel confused by conflicting nutrition advice
• want professional input on your current eating habits
• are looking for a more affordable starting point
A diet diary review gives you clear, personalised feedback based on what you are already eating.
You will be asked to complete a short food diary over a set period, recording your usual diet.
This is then reviewed in detail to identify:
• nutritional gaps
• imbalances in diet
• practical improvements
• simple changes that can make a noticeable difference
From this, you will receive personalised feedback and recommendations tailored to your needs.
Following your review, you will receive:
• clear dietary feedback
• practical nutrition suggestions
• simple lifestyle recommendations
• guidance on next steps if further support is needed
The focus is on realistic changes that fit into your everyday life without overwhelm.
This service may be suitable if you:
• want to improve your diet without a full programme
• prefer a simple, one-off consultation
• are unsure where to start with nutrition changes
• want reassurance about your current habits
• are working within a limited budget
If you are unsure whether this is the right option for you, you are welcome to book a free discovery call.
This gives you the chance to ask questions and decide whether nutritional therapy feels like the right fit for your needs.

Hi, I’m Jan and I’m a Nutritional Therapist.
My role is to work with you to identify the root causes of your health concerns and symptoms, and to understand how imbalances or deficiencies may be contributing to how you are feeling. I do this by taking a detailed health history and by understanding you as a whole person. I will then create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan to help you take control of your own health.
I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Birmingham, I am a member of The British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine, and a member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.
I first became interested in nutrition and how nutrients can have a positive impact on health when I faced a cancer diagnosis many years ago and used diet and lifestyle alongside conventional medicine as a means to recover my health. So when I was made redundant from a career in the criminal justice system, I used the opportunity to train as a nutritional therapist and help others find solutions to their health concerns too.
What I like most about Nutritional Therapy is that I can help people make significant improvements to their health and wellbeing which is personalised to their needs and can last a lifetime.
